Scouting District

PROUD PRAW.png

The Prestwich, Radcliffe and Whitefield Scouting District consists of a collection of 10 groups and a District HQ across 3 townships. We are members of the district, and often participate in district activities, including camping trips and church parades and services. We have a proud history of dedicated, action-packed and adventurous Scouting, delivered to such a wide community.

District HQ:

The District Headquarters are located in Whitefield, behind Aldi and McDonalds. There is a great building with room for activities and events inside, and also a good outdoor area, with a wide lawn. It has recently undertaken some major exciting refurbishments!

District Summer Fun Day 18.jpg

Back in October 2017, our Cubs and Scouts attended the first ever Prestwich RADCLIFFE and Whitefield District Camp, held at Bibbys Farm! It was very muddy, but full of fun and very momentous for our proud area of Scouting.

There were loads of epic activities all jam-packed into the huge weekend of fun, excitement and adventure, including:

  1. Rock Climbing

  2. Mountain Biking

  3. Archery

  4. Go Karting

  5. Night Hike

  6. and much more...

DISTRICT SUMMER FUN DAY

Over the weekend Saturday July, a Barbeque and stalls were set-up, including activities such as slime-making, rifle shooting, crafts, tombolas and more! It was great family fun, and a success in raising funds for local Scouts to go to the World Scout Jamboree 2019 in the United States.
