Scout Association
The Scout Association is the recognised member of the World Organisation for the United Kingdom, founded by Robert Baden-Powell in 1908. It is the origin of Scouting and has expanded massively over it's 110 years of everyday adventure! The organisation recently released its 5 year strategy for growth and development - SKILLS FOR LIFE!
OUR HIDDEN GEM - In Middleton, we have an excellent headquarters. It has meeting rooms, a large kitchen, 11 bedrooms with sleeping for 48 and an outside enclosed secure area with a firepit, crate stacking and space for camping.
We now have a fabulous County Shop, based in our County HQ. Here you can buy uniforms, badges, memorabilia, certificates and all sorts of scouting goods. The shop is open most Mondays from 7:15 until 9pm, and some weekends.
A small but close-knot team, working hard to produce and support great Scouting in the area.

A proud
History...
Our District has been running for many years, however, has experienced many changes for the better over the years of its' existence. A few years ago, the Prestwich and Whitefield District joined forces to create an ultimate team with Radcliffe District, and we became the Proud PRaWs. Now, we help out with, run and attend all sorts of events and activities, including district activity camps, church parades, ceremonies, special-theme trips like the bonfire camp and much more... Where will your adventure begin?
Our 1st PRaW DISTRICT CAMP!!!
Back in October 2017, our Cubs and Scouts attended the first ever Prestwich RADCLIFFE and Whitefield District Camp, held at Bibbys Farm! It was very muddy, but full of fun and very momentous for our proud area of Scouting.

There were loads of epic activities all jam-packed into the huge weekend of fun, excitement and adventure, including:
-
Rock Climbing
-
Mountain Biking
-
Archery
-
Go Karting
-
Night Hike
-
and much more...
DISTRICT SUMMER FUN DAY
Over the weekend Saturday July, a Barbeque and stalls were set-up, including activities such as slime-making, rifle shooting, crafts, tombolas and more! It was great family fun, and a success in raising funds for local Scouts to go to the World Scout Jamboree 2019 in the United States.
